Supports all USA regional sales, mechanical FAEs, and globalarketing/engineeringefforts with application solutions related to high-speed signaling and signalIntegrity for electronic connectors.
⦁Primary company interface with our USA customers concerning SI technicaldiscussions. Meets with customers to understand their SI requirements andconcerns. Presents products, test reports, and simulations to customers.Creates test methods/plans and preliminary product specifications that addressthe customer’s requirements and concerns leading to a design win. (Meetings canbe at the customer site, during trade shows, via video, web conferencing, etc.)
⦁Work with the company’s engineering team to optimize designs, create newproduct designs, and support customer applications. Support the company’sresearch, development, and marketing efforts by helping to identify futureindustry requirements for connectors/harnesses that pertain to high frequency,high data rate, and EMI applications.
⦁Lead the company’s research, development, and marketing efforts throughparticipation in, and reporting on, various electronics industry standardsgroup activities, such as IEEE, PCI-SIG, VESA, USB-IF, MIPI, and OIF.
⦁Network with trade groups, standards committees, and industry leaders (majorchipset and consumer electronics customers) to provide input into the productdevelopment and business direction for for the company
⦁Monitor working groups, and gather knowledge regarding technical roadmaps,compliance specifications, and the development of industry standards. Createand maintain a library of industry standards and specifications documents.
⦁Act as a technical representative to attend trade symposiums and events.Perform support functions like manning the exhibit booth, attending technicalseminars, and studying other participants’ products and market strategies.
⦁Create and maintain a library of SI documents including test reports,simulations, white papers, other technical reports that Sales can easily accessto promote our products. Work directly with company Engineering to efficientlyprovide the required technical data.
⦁Write technical papers and contents to illustrate and promote the companiesproducts’ SI performance. Present papers at trade shows, events, and industrymeetings when possible.
⦁Provide Sales with SI training. Individual salespeople are not expected to havea high level of SI knowledge, but they do need a basic understanding of key SIterms, definitions, and how design considerations impact performance.
⦁Coordinate with complementary product companies, such as wire suppliers, FPCsuppliers, assembly manufacturers, and others, to identify new products andtechnologies that could lead to novel and improved solutions that we couldoffer to our customers.
Skills Required:
⦁At least 3-5 years of experience in the consumer electronics, enterprisecomputing, or high-speed datacom industry
⦁Experience using ANSYS HFSS or another 3D FEM solver
⦁Keen understanding of signal integrity concepts, such as S-parameters, jitter,crosstalk, power supply noise, ground bounce, ringing, reflections, etc.
⦁Strong signal integrity analytical abilities to identify issues with high-speedconnectors, components, and cable assemblies
⦁Experience with high-speed lab equipment, such as vector network analyzers, biterror rate testers, and time-domain reflectometers
⦁Experience with high-speed signals up to 224 Gbps
⦁Experience with high-speed signals up to 448 Gbps is plus
⦁Familiarity with common industry specs (e.g. IEEE 802.3) and figures of merit,such as COM
⦁Direct customer experience in a technical selling environment preferred
⦁Knowledge of CST Microwave Studio, Keysight ADS, and other SI tools is a plus
⦁Experience with high-speed PCB design is a plus
⦁Experience with Python or C# software development is a plus
