Job Overview

Our client a well-known global manufacture of RF and Coaxialconnectors and cable assemblies has an outstanding opportunity for anexperienced Sales Manager/Engineer who is a self-starter with passion to driveprofitable sales growth for the automotive segment of the company reporting tothe Director of Sales. The Sales Manager supports the business developmentactivity from a technical, customer satisfaction and commercial perspective.This position requires extensive customer interface at engineering, purchasingand management levels

Duties and Responsibilities: Contribute to company salesobjectives by meeting or exceeding territorial goals and expanding customerbase. Be the initial point of contact and establish/maintain strongrelationships with customers focusing on business development and customersatisfaction. Understand customer requirements and their products. Define andclearly articulate account strategy to leadership Satisfy customer needs byassisting in part design, process development, and training and after salessupport/service. Contribute to company sales objectives by meeting or exceedingterritorial goals and expanding customer base. Follow through on all customerinquiries and sales leads. Properly manage territory by maintaining records ofsales calls, applications, purchase orders, customer organizations and businessconditions throughout the territory. Maintain thorough knowledge of allproducts, applications, price structure, industry developments and competitiveproducts and strategies. Attend trade shows in support of company’s sales andmarketing objectives Have a valid passport/visa to allow for internationaltravel

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aTechnical Discipline (preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering). 3-5years of experience as a program, design or applications engineer coordinatingprojects for electronic products to automotive and industrial accounts.Thorough knowledge of or experience with automotive electronic/electricalsystems. A self-starter and strong team player who can successfully navigatethe organization to reach the agreed upon business goals. Excellent oral andwritten communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills withdemonstrated ability to influence across cross-functional teams and to workeffectively with business and technology leaders. Good problem-solving skills,self-motivated and results-oriented. Must be an active listener with atechnology base who can probe for customer needs and identify gaps in theproduct line or form ideas from discussions with customers, suppliers andindustry professionals to introduce to the product mix to the market. PreferredTechnical background in designing connectors or other electro-mechanicalcomponents products in project management/product management capacity.
