Job Overview

Our client a well-known manufacturer of electronicconnectors and cable assemblies for signal, power, RF andFiber Optic technologies has an immediate opening for a Regional SalesManager (remote/field-based). Working with the direction of the Director ofSales & Marketing, the Regional Sales Manager will identify and developsustainable new business growth within the New England Sales Region. TheRegional Sales Manager is a member of the corporations Sales Team which is ashared resource for all of the companies Interconnect products and supports thesales efforts for all business units promoting connector, cable assembly, fiberoptic, and hermetic product lines.

Job Responsibilities:

  • With the guidance and support of the Director of Sales & Marketing, drive territory activity that creates new business wins and pipeline adds aimed at meeting or exceeding established territory and company sales goals
  • Focus on key accounts and foster relationships to develop new business opportunities (NBO)
  • Travel on a regular basis to meet visit customer sites for face-to-face meetings with Engineering and Procurement team members
  • Manage and maintain Salesforce Opportunity Pipeline. Gather relevant information on NBOs and enter into CRM system. Utilize the system to clearly communication and update Opportunity Team members, manage opportunity status, deliverable due dates, next steps, and opportunity value
  • Work with Marketing and BU resources to convert opportunities into sales
  • Attend designated trade shows as required

Criteria for Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or sales or engineering
  • 5-8 years of experience in Outside Sales, Technical B2B, for a manufacturing company, Interconnect industry experience would be a plus but not required.
  • Engineering background highly desired
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to provide clear and concise summaries and instruction
  • Interest in interconnect technology and desire to develop expertise in mechanical and electrical interconnects for signal, power, RF and Fiber Optic technologies
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects and direct others to meet deadlines
  • High energy level and positive can-do attitude
  • Ability to demonstrate to customers a strong willingness to support their needs
  • The position requires domestic travel of up to 25%. The successful candidate will be willing and able to meet travel requirements
  • Ability to influence others to adopt your vision and execute your plans
  • Technologically savvy
  • Strong organizational ability
