Position Description

Our client, a global supplier of electronics components and sub-assemblies, is seeking to fill a Product Strategy Managers position. This position entails working closely with the Director of Product Strategy in growing the company’s existing portfolio, of Microwave, RF and fiber optic, connectors and cables as well as passive and active components, and developing a strategic plan that includes near term and long-term new product and technology roadmaps. This position requires a broad knowledge of electronic markets and applications of components used in these markets, and experience to understand technology trends and guide development of new product lines as well as adding new products to fill gaps in current product line offerings, for variety of industries such as Communications, Computers, Medical, Automotive, Mil-Aero as well as growth markets such as IoT, IIoT and Electric Vehicles, and applications and the experience to identify strategic growth opportunities in collaboration with a team of high performing product line managers.

The successful candidate is intellectually agile and jumps from detailed financial analysis to high level strategic plan, tactical new products execution, and collaboration with suppliers, customers, and internal functions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·        The position reports to the Director of Product Strategy and is responsible for developing an executable rolling 5-year roadmap, designed to meet the new product growth goals of the corporation.

  • Assist in the Development and management of product strategy, including roadmaps for all existing and new product lines.
  • Research new technologies, product lines and categories of products that fit the company’s business model and address growth markets.
  • Identify, and grow new technologies and product lines to achieve revenue growth objectives, by identifying suppliers willing to private label, submitting RFP and RFQ and negotiating private label agreements.
  • Support the elaboration and approval of the annual plan.
  • Proactively assist in driving new high-intensity products release pipeline for new product lines.
  • Assess market size, competitors, and their share, assess benefits to Infinite.
  • Identify market needs and trends through interaction with customers and suppliers, analyze and monitor publicly known information, and attend industry events and trade shows.
  • Compile support data in the form of market research, supplier data, and internal teams to support the addition of new products.
  • Work with sales in developing strategies to successfully expand Infinite’s product offering to win future opportunities.
  • Build relationships with suppliers, internal sales teams and mergers and acquisitions team.
  • Assist in providing regular updates to Executive Leadership Team regarding roadmap development and new technology opportunities.

Key Requirements

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
  • 15+ years of working experience in the Electronics components industry, Product Management distribution or market management, including team’s management, with previous roles in Business Development, Sales or Engineering related to new products, sold in a multitude of markets and applications.
  • Experience with Private Label process and how this model affects the RFQ and RFP process
  • Established relations with key players in strategic growth markets.
  •  In-depth understanding of the industry landscape, dynamics, value chain, pricing structures, technology and product trends related to Infinite Electronics.
  • Documented success with the development and execution of new product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Proven ability to create and present complex business cases to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated history of supplier agreement.
  • Regular practice of financial models, market-based pricing, roadmap development and stage gate process.
  • MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook) proficiency.

  • High level of comfort with online marketing and ecommerce.
  • Database management tools proficiency.
  • Exposure to availability model.
  • Smartsheet proficiency.
