Our Client, is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom and Industrial Instrumentation market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Their products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEM’s globally. They are currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join their Mezzanine connector BU.
High Speed Mezzanine business unit manufactures compression and two-piece separable interface connectors as well as value add flex circuit solutions that support key customers in the datacenter, cloud computing, network switch, industrial instrumentation, and data storage markets. The Product Engineering Manager’s role will be to largely oversee our Mezzanine Connector portfolio as in transitions out of development and into production as well as manage products currently released to manufacturing. The position will require the oversight of an experienced team of engineers and technicians, ensuring product design integrity through simulation, modeling, testing and volume production process control. Detailed responsibilities will include:
Communicating and working with customers and internal product managers as well as development engineering to understand product requirements and performance specifications and support that activity as a main customer interface and support to manufacturing.
Support production tooling, manufacturing processes, qualification testing and assist during the transfer to volume production sites
Ensuring the accurate and timely completion of engineering tasks of engineers within the group
Ensuring products meet cost targets that align with the business P&L
Overseeing and mentoring the product engineering team, providing needed training and work with team members to grow within the organization
Coordinating with peers and other engineering managers within the organization to share best practices and continuous improvement activities
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline or higher degree
10+ years of experience in Engineering Management or Project Management
Experience with high-speed Cu interconnects a plus.
Strong facilitation and team-building skills; the ability to integrate the needs & skills of many functional disciplines to achieve a positive outcome.

Ability to prioritize work to meet objectives and to manage multiple projects simultaneously
