Job Overview

Responsible for planning, organization and execution of sales strategies with the goal of profitable, sustained revenue growth.  The position is charged with selling existing RF, Microwave, coaxial connectors, and cable assemblies to the Defense, Aerospace, Medical, Industrial, Test and Measurement and Telecommunications industries, sponsoring, and bringing to market new products, sales forecasting, development and implementation of pricing policy’s, managing direct Customer sales relationships, supervision of Manufacturer’s Sales Representatives and Regional Distributors and other activities as necessary to support profitable revenue growth.

Job Scope:

Member of the company’s management/leadership team.  Position requires 50%+ travel.

Receives general work direction from President.  Provide face-to-face guidance, support, coordination, and application assistance to Customers, Sales Representatives, and Distributors.

Responsibilities:            

Manage sales activity like profit center, positioning the company as the preferred vendor with the maximum revenue and profit achievement in each market.

Primary goal is to grow our OEM business in each market.  Identify qualified OEM opportunities for legacy, new and custom RF connectors and liaise between Customer and company engineers to deliver these products. Provide assessment of new Customers and markets as well as assisting the development and introduction of new products.

Oversee sales efforts of Manufacturer’s Sales Representatives and Distributors; evaluating performance, making recommendations to the President for sales channel modifications which optimize sales performance.

Maintain awareness of all sales activities within the territory to assist the President with the deployment of company resources to maximize closure probability for sales opportunities. 

Make engineering oriented sales calls at OEM Customers.  Demand creation for the companies product is a critical function requiring contact with potential accounts both directly and in conjunction with Representatives and Distributors. 

Manage and support activities of Manufacturer’s Sales Representatives and Distributors to target accounts for  marketing initiatives.  Manage sales lead follow-up with Representatives and Distributors.

Prepare annual Customer plans and sales strategies.  Forecast expected future sales by gross dollars on a monthly basis. Participate in strategic planning efforts as needed.

Train sales Representatives and Distributor salesmen in product features, benefits, applications, and commercial policies.

Collect, integrate, and interpret competitive information for use in region and at headquarters.

Handle technical and commercial questions and applications inquiries from existing and potential Customers.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience

BS/BA Engineering would be a plus.

Five+ years of OEM field sales experience with RF, microwave or coaxial connectors and or cables preferred, 

Prior experience managing Manufacturer’s Sales Representatives.
