Our client one of the world’slargest providers of high-technology interconnect, sensor and antennasolutions.  Their products enable theElectronics Revolution across virtually every end market including Automotive,Broadband Communications, Commercial Aerospace, Industrial, InformationTechnology and Data Communications, Military, Mobile Devices and MobileNetworks.

They are currently seeking a highenergy Global Product Marketing Manager to join their team. 

 

The Global Product MarketingManager will be responsible for driving growth and the full P&L for thesustaining portfolio in the HSIO Connector portfolio.   The candidate will manage a team of productline managers and product specialists to drive the development of productderivatives from the sustaining HSIO Connector portfolio.  The candidate will be working closely withthe global sales team to identify, develop, and capture business opportunitiesworldwide and work closely with the global operations team to improvemanufacturing efficiencies and overall cost positioning of the sustaining HSIOConnector portfolio.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Formulate and execute a strategy to launch and grow the sustainingportfolio in the high-speed connector portfolio including setting the strategicvision for the group of product lines, build and maintain product roadmaps,translate market/customer needs into product definitions/requirements anddevelop go to market strategies.

•Drive new business development in new markets and customersfor the group of product line and pursue expanded opportunities in companysexisting customer base.

•Work closely with global sales, field applicationengineering and marketing teams to drive the sustaining portfolio into existingand new markets and to develop tools and support material to facilitate newdesign wins.  Drive product training andsales promotions to prospect new opportunities.

•Understand current industry applications and map futureindustry trends and translate them to a product plan.  Participate and work closely in thehigh-speed IO connector standards groups to influence and strategicallyposition Amphenol solutions.

•Obtain and use analysis of competitors and competitorproducts.  Identify and implement actionsto out-perform competition and develop pricing strategies.

•Work with cross functional teams like engineering,manufacturing, supply chain and quality to drive the growth/profitability andcustomer satisfaction of the assigned product line including value engineeringinitiatives, customized designs to meet customer requirements, managing qualityissues, etc.

•Understand customers’ technology needs, strategic directionand how the HSIO connector team can be positioned with a value solution to meetthe customer’s needs.

•The candidate must think and act as abusiness owner with the ability to forecast

  Bookings/revenues,pricing strategies, perform competitive analysis, and evaluate key capital

  Investment ROI.

•This position requires local andinternational travel for customer visits, field engagements,

 product development meetings and manufacturing factory meetings.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

•Bachelor’s degree in engineeringrequired; MBA /MS desirable.

•8+ years of product managementand business development experience; preferably for an

  electronicsproduct line in a related market.

•Experience managing product lifecycle (i.e. setting strategic vision, building and

  maintainingproduct roadmaps, P&L ownership, etc.)

•Experience launching newtechnology products into the telecom/datacom markets.

•People management experience

•Willing to travel globally andwork in a global business structure; significant travel

  requirement (40%).
